Dr Nancy Knows Essence Yarbrough

If you’d like to improve your wellness, let Dr Nancy Knows introduce you to Essence Yarbrough. Essence has 10 years experience as a reflexology provider.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet (or the hands). Reflexology is generally relaxing and may help alleviate stress and reduce pain.

The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.

Reflexologists use foot charts to guide them as they apply pressure to specific areas. Reflexology is sometimes combined with other hands-on therapies.

Several studies indicate that reflexology may reduce pain and psychological symptoms, such as stress and anxiety, and enhance relaxation and sleep. Given that reflexology is also low risk, it can be a reasonable option if you’re seeking relaxation and stress relief.

Feed your spirit the right things for it feeds your mind and connects to divine appointments. Your mind tells your body how to think, behave and how to speak. How you think, speak and behave today can influence how you feel tomorrow and how you feel tomorrow can influence how you ultimately feel about yourself and treat yourself.

Reflexology Benefits?

Some people with medical conditions find that they feel less pain and discomfort if they have less stress, and reflexology may help with that. Researchers reviewed 17 studies of the psychological benefits of the therapy and found that it boosted feelings of well-being and made it easier for people to manage their conditions.

Based on what is observed so far, reflexology supports and helps with:

  • Anxiety
  • Pain (including arthritis pain)
  • MS symptoms like fatigue and uncomfortable skin sensations
  • Emotional and physical pain
